Res. 85 W. 47th St., New York, (1883). He was born on 8 April 1823. He was the son of John Smith Andrews and Nancy Mace. Samuel Wakeman Andrews married Naomi Maria Bolster, daughter of Henry Baruch Bolster and Sarah Maria Chilson, on 19 July 1848 at Manhattan Dutch Reform Church by F.F. Cornell. Samuel Wakeman Andrews appeared on the census of 24 June 1870 in the household of Mary Ellen Bolster at New York Ward 22 District 7, Page 33, New York, New York, NY; Property listed at $60,000 and personal estate listed at $20,000. Census taken did a poor job, spelled his name as Lemer. Occupation is Stage Line. This area is a very weathly area and a few doors down is William Rockafeller.... interesting part of town. Can't find any from this neighborhood in the 1880 census. Must not have been taken.1 Samuel Wakeman Andrews appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 at District 569, Manhatten, New York, NY; Sam listed as Stage Propr and so was his brother Benjamin.2 He died on 10 June 1897 at age 74.3
