Sylvia Barrett died on 31 May 2005 at Darien, CT, at age 84; SYLVIA BARRETT DEFOREST- a resident of Darien, CT for the past 73 years and a former resident of Georgetown, CT, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2005. Born September 13, 1920 in Georgetown, CT, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Barrett and Florence Kramer Barrett. She was 84.
Mrs. DeForest was a graduate of Darien High School. She was an antique dealer and expert in small antiques and silver. She was a member of the Horseless Carriage Club of Fairfield County and Antique Automobile Club of America.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara DeForest Wilson of Portland, ME; three grandchildren, Jonathan Barrett Adams of Yokohama, Japan; Andrew DeForest Wilson and his wife Cindy of Darien, CT; and Sarah Wilson Rimkunas and her husband Tony of Gorham, ME; and one great granddaughter, Margaret Elizabeth Rimkunas. She is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Robert T. DeForest.
A private burial will be held in Nantucket, MA.
