CRADLEY HEATH is a populous village, in the parish of Rowley Regis, three miles south from Dudley; situate on the river Stour, which separates it from Cradley, in the county of Salop. The nail, trace, and chain trade is carried on here to a great extent, and several mines of coal have recently been opened. The places of worship are, a chapel for baptists, and one for primitive methodists. The population is returned with Rowley Regis.
