Gr-granddaughter of Harmanus Cropsey and Elizabeth Rezeau (b. 1760), his 1st wife, m. 1791.
Harmanus Cropsey (1753-1830) served as lieutenant in Captain Lane's company, Kings County militia, and in 1776 took part in the battle of Long Island; was taken prisoner and confined on the “Jersey” prison ship. He was born in New York; died at Staten Island.
