Cornelius Ellis Page 230.--In the name of God, Amen. I, CORNELIUS ELLIS, of Richmond County, weaver. I leave to my wife Magdalen, after all debts are paid, all the remainder of my estate for her maintainance and that of the children so long as she remains my widow. If she marries I leave all my estate to my executors for the support and maintainance of my children. I bequeath the reversion and fee simple of the real estate I possess, left to me by my father, Bastian Ellis, after my mother's death, to my son, Gerritt Ellis, and he is to pay to my daughter Sarah œ80 when he is 21. I also leave him all my wearing apparell. I make my wife and my brother Bastian and my friend Lawrence Roome executors. Dated August 1, 1763.

He was born in November 1725.1 He was born on 1 December 1725 at Staten Island, NY. He was the son of Bastian Ellis and Sarah Nevius. Cornelius Ellis married Magdalena Vanderbilt, daughter of Jacob Vanderbilt and Neiltje Denyse, on 27 July 1755 at Acquackanonk, Passaid CO, NJ. Cornelius Ellis died in 1763.1 He died in 1763 at Staten Island, NY. He was Record Change on 17 December 2000.1
