     Archibald Mains Kitzmiller He was Chief Clerk at Harper's Ferry (Virginia) Armory, was taken prisoner during John Brown's Raid and gave testimony to a Senate Select Committee afterward. He was born on 18 December 1811 at Leesburg, Loudoun Co., Virginia. He was the son of Captain Martin Kitzmiller and Elizabeth Heagy. Archibald Mains Kitzmiller married Anne Elizabeth Hilliard, daughter of Joseph Hilliard, on 3 October 1833 at Shelburne Parish, VA; >From Loudoun Co Marriages by Wertz:

Archibald Mains Kitzmiller died on 26 October 1886 at Washington, D.C, at age 74. He was buried on 28 October 1886 at Glenwood Cemetery, DC.
