Born 1783; died 1865; of "Willow Glen," Churchville, Va. Married, May 25, 1813, Sarah, or Sally Hester, Gardner, daughter of Francis Gardner and his wife Ann (Bell) Gardner of Buffalo Gap, Augusta County, Va. Both buried in Churchville.
