     Benjamin Franklin Sterrett was the son of John Sterrett. Benjamin Franklin Sterrett 20. Benjamin Franklin Sterrett (of John3, Cairns2, Benjamin1).
Born March 28, 1792; died Aug. 15, 1865. Married, December 24, 1817, Nancy M. Hogg, born January 29, 1795; died March 17, 1858. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania as a physician.

v. Samuel Hughes, b. July 23, 1833; d. Nov. 21, 1908, at Philadelphia;
m. Mercy Fraley, dau. of Frederick Fraley, a prominent
merchant of Philadelphia, who held the positions of
president of The Western Savings Fund and The Board of
Trade, until his death, which occurred in his 94th year.
Samuel H. Sterrett left Saltsburg, the place of his birth, at the
age of sixteen years, going to Philadelphia, where he obtained
a position with the firm of Riegel, Baird & Co., one of the
leading dry goods firms there. Later was interested in banking
and brokerage, retiring in 1887.
