     John Sterrett 28. John Sterrett (of Alexander3, Samuel2, Benjamin1).
By descendants of his brothers, Robert and William, this John was supposed to have located near Pittsburgh, but was lost track of. He is said to have been born about 1779; died about 1861; married Sarah D. Havens; possibly had a first or second wife, Elizabeth Ferguson, by whom he had a son, Alexander, and is known to have had a daughter, Rebecca; by wife Sarah, he had seven children, including a Rebecca. Data on wife Elizabeth sent by Miss Elizabeth Sterrett of Buffalo, W. Va.
