     Robert Sterrett was the son of David Sterrett and Rachel Innis. Robert Sterrett 45. Robert Sterrett (of David3, Robert2, Benjamin1).
Born February 17, 1763, Cumberland County, Pa. Drowned while attempting to ride across a creek at time of a heavy freshet.
Married (1) Martha Woods, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Scott) Woods, who died in 1801; mother of four of his children, Married (2) Nancy Ramsey, by whom he had one child.

d. Feb. 16, 1884; dau. of George Clark and Ann5 Sterrett (of
James4, William3, Robert2, Benjamin1). Jane m. 2d, in 1831,
Robert Sterrett, son of John and Nancy (Chambers) Sterrett.

iv. Mary, b. March 10, 1794; d. Jan. 13, 1873; m. March 23, 1815,
David Sterrett5, b. March 30, 1789; d. Dec. 22, 1865, see
record under his name, No. 57.
v. Rachel, m. March 21, 1822, Joseph Kilgore, who d. Feb. 16,
1849. From a letter bearing date of Oct. 18, 1852, it appears
they settled in the year of 1822 on Yankee Street, Roseville,
Park County, Ind., on the Wabash River, 18 miles above Terre
Haute, and reared a family of nine children, as follows (no
date given):
1. Agnes Kilgore, "my eldest daughter," m. William Crotzer,
had two sons, John and Joseph Crotzer.
2. William Kilgore, "eldest son"; in California, 1850.
3. Jesse Kilgore, "my second son," died aged three years.
4. Robert Sterrett Kilgore, "my third son."
5. Benjamin Franklin Kilgore, "my fourth son," died aged
five years.
6. Montgomery Kilgore, b. abt 1843, "my fifth son"; residing
on farm with mother, 1852, aged 9 years.
7. Isabelle Kilgore, "my second daughter," attending Georgetown
Seminary, in 1852.
8. Eliza Jane Kilgore, "my third daughter."
9. Henrietta Kilgore, "my fourth daughter," died aged three
years.
