Cairns Sterrett

     Cairns Sterrett 4. Cairns Sterrett (of Benjamin1).
Said to have been born about 1721, died in 1798, in Franklin County, Pa. His will, on file, is registered March 28, 1798, Book B, p. 52. He came to Franklin County from Cumberland County in 1784. Married Maria Mayes, whose will is also on file, dated August 15, probated November 13th, 1800, Franklin County; son John, executor.

vi. James, his will on file, Hagerstown, Md, dated April 6,
1799, he called of Williamsport, Washington County, Md;
names beloved wife Ann; daughter Maria; daughter
Agnes; bequeaths land in state of Kentucky, left to him by
his father, Cairns, to his son, James Sterrett; refers to
unborn child. Extrs., Wm. McClelland and John Sterrett,
both of state of Pennsylvania. Will sworn to by witnesses,
Aug. 5, 1799.
